Kratom has been a lifeline for residents for pain management and opioid withdrawal. The NATURAL leaf IS safe when used properly with minimal side effects. Please look at the ACTUAL statistics rather than unverified claims. When my pain is at it's worse, ONE teaspoon twice a day makes me functional. My alternative? Hydrocodone. Please do not limit the options of responsible adults in deciding what is best for their own lives.

Kratom has helped countless veterans, chronic pain patients, and everyday people find relief without turning to dangerous opioids. It deserves to remain legal so adults can make informed choices for their own health. At the same time, I strongly support age restrictions to keep it out of the hands of minors—just like alcohol and tobacco. Responsible regulation, not prohibition, is the answer.

Kratom is an absolute necessity in a world with a broken pain management system. I injured my spine a decade ago and every “medicine” prescribed by my doctors gave me 0 pain relief and only introduced horrible side effects making my life even worse. Kratom is a safe alternative. It gave me my life back and the ability to provide for my family and play with my son. It also stands to give a lot of people with addiction issues a safe legal alternative that is unlikely to harm. Please do not ban!

Kratom has saved my mothers life as well as my own. It helped me get off of benzodiazepines as well as alcohol. My mother dealt with such severe chronic pain she was unable to get out of bed for years. No amounts of pain killers could help her. The moment I introduced her to kratom she was able to get out of bed and start living her life again. If anything ban 7oh mitrygine. The hhs has just recommended the FDA to put 7oh into schedule 1. They said specifically they are not going after Kratom.

Kratom saved my life when my doctor suddenly cut me cold turkey off of my pain and anxiety medication because he was worried about his license. I was so sick I considered taking my own life to stop the suffering until a friend recommended me kratom. Not only did it save my life, it allows me to actually function and LIVE my life. And it’s much safer than any of the medication I was taking before. If you genuinely care about your community, you will reconsider this ban.

At 8 years old, I was hit by a car and lived with chronic pain for years. Doctors kept me on opioids for over 15 years, leaving me dependent and disconnected from life. Then I found kratom. This natural leaf gave me clarity, balance, and control without the haze. Kratom saved my life — it eased my pain, gave me dignity, and allowed me to truly live again. What man made in pills, God already provided in a leaf. ❤️

Kratom has saved my life. I became addicted to pain killers after surgery, and kratom is what allowed me to stop that. Kratom is life saving for me. Without it, me and many others will be in a tough spot where we may need to go back to other methods if kratom is banned. Banning kratom would only increase heroin and fentanyl deaths.

Kratom is the most effective treatment for my chronic pain , and the depression/ anxiety that comes with it. Thx to Kratom , I’ve been med free for 8 years , able to work full time , be present for my family and effectively increasing the quality of life 100 fold . Banning this very safe herb will put many people at risk of resorting to less effective and more toxic/dangerous treatment options . Truly a cruel and helpless position to put good people in .
    Please do not ban Kratom

    Thank you

I found kratom after years of being treated like a junkie and a criminal due to pain from a disease that was neither my choice nor my fault. With kratom, I can work and carry out domestic responsibilities. Without it, I would be relegated to sobbing in bed from pain, being smirked at and told to "Just take Tylenol". I beg you, do not do this to the kratom users of Toledo, or anywhere else.

Kratom is an incredibly valuable tool in the fight against the opioid pandemic, banning it will only increase overdose deaths, create unnecessary suffering for people and their loved ones, and will drive thousands back to dangerous drugs.

Kratom was the only thing that helped me successfully quit Heroin and Xanax, nothing else worked and I've now been clean for over 10 years.

To take that opportunity away from suffering people is unthinkably evil.

Please don't ban Kratom. I was a heroin addict for over 10 years. Thanks to the help of kratom, I have over 6 years clean. I graduated college, i have a good job, and I am a contributing member of society. My has gotten so much better. Banning it will not end addiction, it will only make things worse. Please consider regulating it so people have safe access.

I am a 38 year old wife and mother of two. I've had chronic back pain for 13 years. I used to be in pain management before we lost our insurance years ago. I was in a chronic pain support group back in 2013 when someone suggested Kratom. I had nothing to lose so I gave it a try. It has been a game changer not only for me but my family as well. I am truly the mother and wife my family deserves all thanks to Kratom. It saved me and gave me my life back!

I am a ten year kratom user. I maintain a small dose of plain leaf kratom. It helps me greatly with chronic knee and back pain and also helps keep my anxiety/depression at a manageable level. I am still using the same small amount I started with 11 years ago. I and many others use this supplement safely and responsibly.I would be fine with harsh regulations on extracts and synthesized 7oh products. Please keep leaf kratom legal, safe, and available. Thank you!

Please don’t ban Kratom. Millions of people consume this plant giving them back quality of life. Because of Kratom I am no longer debilitated and have quality of life. I am a productive member of society again. Many chronic pain patients need access to pain relief; Kratom is a safe alternative to stronger medications that are prescribed. Kratom gives people opportunities to thrive and improve their lives and get back in the game of life. If you ban Kratom, you will be destroying those lives.

My son died from seizure caused by KRATOM powder last year. He was 27. He was mislead by a business owner who told him it was safe all natural supplement and who knew little to nothing about kratom himself. He was robbed of his life! It works on opiate receptors is highly addictive as you can see the addicts frantically opposing a ban because their DEADLY drug of choice would be compromised they want to get high without prescription or drug tests.Thousands have died from it! Ban it!!!!

I vehemently oppose any ban or restrictions on kratom products for adults. Kratom’s been such a blessing for me, many of my friends, & family.

I would not be here today, a working member of society & an active 35+ married mom of 5, without kratom.

I find this tea to be a gentle herb that fits my lifestyle & needs. Our science agrees. I think adults should have access to kratom & be able to make their own choice.

I’ve been hurting for decades secondary to JIA since age 4. Docs put me on opioids around 20 years ago, and I became addicted. My addiction destroyed two marriages, and it stopped helping my constant pain.

I found kratom in a headshop when I lost my insurance and legal access to pills after my second divorce. I didn’t expect Kratom to help, but it did!

Five years later I still consume Kratom daily to help manage my pain. My docs approve, and my labs are all fine.

    Thanks for reading!

Banning Kratom and 7oh will not put an end to addiction, nor will it end the market for either item, it will only make it MORE dangerous. Like Alcohol and Tobacco, these things are meant for smart, moderate use to cure things like pain, anxiety and depression. I was an oxycodone addict for six years and stuck on a high dose of Suboxone for nearly 12 years. Kratom has helped me lower my Suboxone dose and my anxiety. Please do not ban it.

I oppose the ban on Kratom. The FDA recently asked the DEA to criminalize 7-OH, not natural leaf kratom, which they acknowledged has been used safely for thousands of years. I’ve responsibly used whole-leaf kratom in a drink called Feel Free for 19 months with no issues. Problems only seem to arise with abuse, like taking 6x, 10x, or 12x the dose. Don’t ban a natural product that helps people. Regulate it, don’t eliminate it. Look at these comments and how many people Kratom has served.
