Whole-leaf Kratom saves lives. It's been saving my life for over 6 years now. I am a recovered addict because of it. I was addicted to FDA approved pain pills, benzos and muscle relaxers via chronic pain management for 11 years straight, 2008-2019. Your focus should be on synthetic 7OH. Those are being sold under the guise of being Kratom. Kratom is a leaf from nature. Synthetic 7OH is man-made in a lab. 2 completely different products. Kratom Saves Lives!

I have lived much of my life in chronic pain and since I found kratom, I was finally able to break free of opiates. I am finally able to function in my life and be a productive member of society. Banning kratom is going to push many like me to pharmaceuticals or street drugs like fentanyl. This is a much safer alternative and people need options. If alcohol is legal, it would be absurd to ban kratom. People depend on this to live their lives. Please oppose the ban.

I’ve been a kratom consumer on/off for over 15 years. Kratom, mixed with my chamomile tea, has helped me relax as I struggle with chronic insomnia issues on a nightly basis very frequently. Kratom also has helped provide relief in easing my joint and muscle pain tremendously. I'm a healthy young man, maintain a productive job, good person, and a law abiding citizen. Please do not criminalize kratom for adults with a blanket ban approach. Please allow kratom to remain legal. Thank you

Kratom leaf has saved me when medical community failed me, denied me pain management since 2021 after 11y. I am a disabled with a very complicated medical history in chronic pain 24/7 due to my spinal arthritis degenerate disc disease spinal stenosis cervical/lumbar radiculopathy cervical/lumbar lordosis scoliosis osteoarthritis due to a genetic condition called ehlers-danlos syndrome. Without Kratom leaf I wouldn't be able to participate in my life. My life matters I'm still here suffering.

I am permanently disabled. I use kratom to manage chronic pain. With it I can do housework and PT my MD has suggested.

No medication is appropriate for all people, including herbal supplements, OTC, or Rx medications. Patients should discuss use with their doctor.

The FDA has recommended federally scheduling 7-OH, a semi-synthetic derivative and indicated kratom is well tolerated in their own study.

There is no scientific basis to schedule botanical kratom, as HHS and the WHO have indicated.

I am commenting to stop the banning and criminalization of kratom. The Ohio Board of Pharmacy tried to schedule kratom once, and they failed due to the science that showed how safe kratom is. Not only that, but since then, there have been more studies that prove how safe kratom is. I have been a kratom consumer for 10 years now. During that time, I graduated from college and started a career. This plant has allowed me to do so despite my chronic arthritis. Keep kratom legal and follow science.
