TMP-6054 Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a three-year space usage agreement with Owens Community College for the Toledo Police Training Academy; authorizing the General Fund expenditure of an amount not to exceed $372,745.40 over the term of the agreement subject to future appropriations; waiving the competitive bidding requirements of TMC Chapter 187; and declaring an emergency. ..Body SUMMARY & BACKGROUND: This Ordinance is to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement for space usage at Owens Community College. The Toledo Police Department has a well-established partnership with Owens Community College for TPD training since 1999. The Space Usage Agreement defines space usage on the campus and provides to pay the amount to Owens Community College for the Law Enforcement Center Building used by the Toledo Police Academy. This agreement will be in effect from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2024.
